Offshore facilities -though based in one location at sea – must cope with similar cyber risks as any other vessel and even more. Offshore facilities must ensure their cyber security resilience as a facility at sea but also against in-danger vessels approaching the facility. Offshore facilities cannot risk penetration to critical systems such as the bridge navigation system (ECDIS) or the positioning system in a floating rig DP (Dynamic Positioning) just because a nearby vessel lost its track. This is why we developed a cyber security solution against maritime cyber threats while assuring full visibility and continuous monitoring.

Understanding cyber vulnerabilities of fleets and facilities at sea – has driven the development of a complementary cyber security solution to safeguard Ports against unsafe incoming vessels. Securing Ports at shore level won’t be enough to identify and block incoming vessels exposed to cyber threats.
Ports cannot afford vessels docking at the wrong part of the Port or in any way losing control on their way to dock.
MARITIME CYBER BASELINE
Cydome is proud to be a Certification Body of the Maritime Cyber Baseline.
The Maritime Cyber Baseline is an IASME Consortium ran scheme that is Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA) supported scheme helping vessels become cyber compliant. Being Maritime Cyber Baseline compliant entitles vessels of all types and sizes to cyber compliance in line with the International Maritime Organisation (IMO). The Maritime Cyber Baseline scheme is designed to certify the cyber security of all commercial vessels and is accessible to operators and vessels of all sizes from across the world. The scheme will allow the operators and owners of vessels to start their journey towards compliance with the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Guidelines on Maritime Cyber Risk Management.
